Messy Desk Contest
I called in to Frugal WAHMs Talk Radio and we were discussing messy desks. How many of us work on our laptops on the dining room table because our desk is piled ceiling high with clutter? We have little pieces of paper everywhere with notes and phone numbers. And we have written the same to-do list 5 times because we keep misplacing it! Well I had a light-bulb moment during the chat: A CONTEST!
WAHMs, take a picture of your messy desk and post it on your blog. Give us a description, your feelings, your wise cracks and come back to include your link here!
Next week, we’ll all vote on the messiest desk. The winner will receive 2 hours of WAHM coaching from me, The Household Helper!

Notice what’s missing? My laptop travels around the house with me. This way, when little man get’s occupied for a whole 5 minutes playing with something, I can jump on to check email or Twitter!

[...] Cara is hosting a contest on her blog and I thought I’d enter because I do need help with getting my work area more organized. Above is a picture of my work area. I mostly work from my computer - this desk is actually not the greatest for this computer as - you can very well see, I have no space to write on because the computer took over the entire desk and I can not afford to buy a new desk. To help me with some writing space - I opened up a tray table to the right of the desk but … you can see that I have tons of paper on it. Thus again, no writing space for me. I try to write all my notes and stuff on a notebook that I have next to the computer and if needed I carry it around with me to jot down things to do and other important things. I seriously need some suggestions on how I can maximize this workspace - HELP! [...]

Darn it! I just organized my desk on Thursday.
I had to have a “site visit” for a city certification and was in a mad scramble to get it looking presentable, while my toddler was leaving nibbles of apple all over the house.
