Spring Cleaning
Gone are the days when our homes were powered and heated from wood or coal sources. At the end of the winter, homes were covered with a layer of black grease and grime. As soon as it was sunny and warm enough, everything the house was cleaned – everything.
With our modern day conveniences, the necessity to spring clean is gone. There are some that still scrub their homes from top to bottom. There is a sense of renewal from beginning a new season in a house that has been cleaned, scrubbed, scoured, waxed, polished.
We all still do it. There are seasonal clothes to pack and unpack, shovels and snow-throwers to move and make way for rakes and lawn mowers, etc. I even swap my bedding for a lighter quilt and change some curtains to a lighter-fabric.

But I don’t spring clean. I have a system in place so that each area of my home gets a deep cleaning every 4 to 6 weeks. Next week, I am going to begin sharing my system. My system for cleaning and organizing my home. Since spring is the time for renewal, begin the season getting your home in order – join me beginning Monday, March 17th.

Great topic! I am trying to do one hour of deep cleaning somewhere in my house each day (or weekly depending on my schedule) and it is helping me tackle the stuff on my to-do list that I have been behind on.
