Tell Me Thursday

TMT468x60ani Tell Me Thursday

OK, I admit I intentionally tugged on your heart strings with yesterday’s picture. But I have a purpose – so stay with me.nicu 2 Tell Me Thursday

The picture is my son, born 12 weeks premature. He arrived via emergency c-section weighing 2 pounds 9 ounces and was only 14 inches long. He spent 55 days in the NICU and came home on Halloween, still4 weeks before his due date. He weighed 5 pounds 4 ounces and was 17 inches long. He is now 2 1/2 and a typical toddler with no developmental delays. He is my miracle!

IMG 0012 Tell Me Thursday Because of our experience, we became very active volunteers for the March of Dimes. We are once again participating in their annual walk “March for Babies” (formerly Walk America) to help raise funds for research and education. The March of Dimes is dedicated to improving the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.

Please help by clicking on the widget to the left and sponsor “Joey’s Posse” this year. You could also join my team to help fundraise as well as add our widget to your site or blog. To entice you even more, several of my fellow work-at-home-moms have donated prizes for sponsors. Everyone who makes a donation, regardless of the dollar amount, becomes eligible to win one of the prizes. Click Here for more information on Joey’s Posse and the giveaway!

Good luck with your fund raising! We are participating in a walk in our area in memory of our daughter that we lost a year ago. It is so nice to see other people raising money as well. I am glad you had a good outcome!

My son was also premature. He was not as early as your little guy but he has had a lot of health problems because of coming so early. I think it is awesome what you are doing!
