This Weeks Focus Jan 7 – 13, 2008
This week, I interviewed Aurelia Williams and we discussed how to set and keep your New Year’s Resolutions. Take a listen to my podcast – TheHouseholdHelper.com/Podcast. We even discussed the importance of routines and how to make them. BTW – It’s easy!
I cannot stress how important it is to get a routine going to keep your sanity! It’s 2am as I write this post, and I’m not stressing about tomorrow because everything is ready when I get up: hubby’s lunch is made, little man’s clothes are laid-out, as well as his breakfast and milk, and the coffee maker is set to turn on.
I’m sticking to my guns this week – the focus is still going to be set a routine! There are things that we must do day-in and day-out to make our households manageable. Figuring out when the best time to do that is key. Create a morning routine and an evening/bedtime routine at the very least. If you didn’t do so already, download my FREE report: Keep Your Home Tidy With A Housekeeping Routine . It’s basic and simple.
This week I’m going to focus on adding time to work on my personal goal of losing some weight (actually it’s doctor recommended, but that’s for another post). I’m going to fit activity into my daily routine. I don’t want to call it exercise because that sounds like work – LOL! I’m also going to plan healthier meals this week and incorporate more veggies and less sugars/carbs.
Resources I’m going to utilize:
- 5MinutesForMom, as usual, has a fantastic giveaways encouraging us to stick to our “New Habits For The New Year“.
- I’ve signed up for daily emails over at Hungry-Girl.com so I’ll get “…tasty tidbits from the world of food and dieting“. She even has a game to play on her site where you can smash ‘bad food’ in the fridge.
- I’ve also signed-up for Diana’s help at TheCravingsCoach.com. Carbs are my enemy, and Diana will help me with that!
So, how did last week go for you? Did you working on your goals and resolutions? Are you joining me in my weekly focuses? Leave me a comment and let me know!
