Thrifty Thursday – Have A Quickie

Most people know that I’m crazy about memes! So I’m starting another one – Thrifty Thursday! We all want to find ways to same some money (to pay for gas) so we all share our tips and tricks!

Todays Thrifty Thursday tip: Have a Quickie! Get your mind out of the gutter! I’m talking about a shower!

Opt for a five minute shower rather than a bath. A great way to reduce the amount of hot water you use is to take a quick shower instead of a bath. This will significantly cut down on hot water consumption, and it’s good for the environment and healthier for your skin!

My twitter Pal Crunchy Domestic Goddess has been holding a Five Minute Shower Challenge. She’s got over 100 participants (yes, including me). And I do admit, having done the challenge for a month now, I do notice a difference in my skin. The water bill didn’t come yet, so I don’t know about the savings yet. I’ve even convinced hubby to give it a try too! Join the challenge to save the environment – and save your pennies!
