Tuesday Tip

Sticking with BlogMommas theme of coffee, this is an easy one! Have you ever been served a not-so-great cup of coffee? Maybe you’re at a friends house and it just isn’t doing it for you. Or the free coffee at the office is not worth it’s price.

Perhaps you just made a whole pot of coffee using the last of your coffee grinds in a coffee maker that needs to be cleaned, it’s 8am, you haven’t slept because your kid has a nasty cold that makes him cough all night long, you have a webinar in an hour so there is no time for a Starbucks run and the coffee tastes like dirt. (OK deep breath)

It can become drinkable – just add cinnamon. The spice masks the bad flavor, yet it isn’t so overpowering that you forget you’re drinking coffee! When I was working in the corporate world, I kept a jar of ground cinnamon at my cubicle so I could drink the coffee. The cinnamon even helped me get past the taste of the powdered coffee creamer.

  3. Great tip, cinnamon is such a great spice. I used a dried up old stick (boiled it with a little vanilla) as an air freshner last week.
