Tuesday’s Tips
Here’s a couple tips for parents with “bored” children.
Have a ‘chore box’. Every time a child mentions anything about being “bored” or having “nothing to do” tell them to take their pick out of the chore box. After they complete the chore, you can bet they will find something to keep them occupied!
If you have young children, adopt a rotation system with their toys and swap them over once a week. Not only will tidy-up time be much easier with less to pack up, but your children will have new-found enthusiasm for toys they haven’t seen in a while!
What to do when the toys are everywhere? Start teaching them young that you have to put things away before you pull another toy or activity out. When I was growing up, if my mother found any of our toys/items lying around the house, she would confiscate them for a week. Try this one on your family, and you’ll have less of a problem with mess. PS: This works with hubby too!
