Works For Me Wednesday

Today, I’ve had what I like to refer to as a “flare up” of my endometriosis. My version of this disease happens to be attached to my c-section scar tissue so my whole abdomen gets inflamed and very painful. So on days like today I’m reduced to the fetal position on the couch watching my toddler run-amuck. Luckily, he’s a pretty good boy and doesn’t wreak too much havoc. Anyway, hubby was in charge of dinner. {cringing}

Tonights menu planned was chicken parm with angel hair pasta. Hubby can’t handle that so he improvised and made breakfast for dinner. I love breakfast for dinner! I could eat breakfast foods 24/7. I actually plan on a breakfast for dinner a few times a month. It’s cheap, it’s easy and it’s a treat!

Hubby’s menu for tonight was scrambled eggs with taco cheese and sausage served with salsa and sour cream. A well rounded meal that was cheap! I like it! He did pretty good – AND HE CLEANED UP! {scored some big points for when I’m feeling better}

  1. Cara, I am sorry you have to go through that.

    On the other hand the chicken Parmesan sounds good…I think I will make some on the weekend.

    lol…..

    Oh no! I had endometriosis at a very young age (17, which is young for that disease) and had to have surgery to have the scar tissue removed. Surprisingly, I’ve never had any symptoms reoccur (knock on wood). Anyway, I know your pain, so sending good thoughts and hoping you feel much better – and soon!

    I too suffered greatly w/ endo. Please take good care of yourself. Ask your doc about premedicating with Diclofenec w/ Potassium. This worked wonders for my pain! Unfortunately that and other major issues including fibroids, ademyosis, and cysts led to a hysterectomy for me.

    But seriously, there are so many wonderful options out there!
