Monday Motivation

It’s National Get Organized Week! Isn’t that enough motivation to start getting your home organized?

Because I’m already sooooo organized (wink) I’ve decided to tackle one small project each day this week – they are small projects, but will make a big difference in the day-to-day goings-on in my home!

  • Monday: the utensil drawers. My toddler son likes to “help” put the silver ware and utensils away. LOL!
  • Tuesday: the pots & pans. I’m tired of having to move 5 things just to get to my skillet.
  • Wednesday: the command center. It’s not that bad, but it’s been a while since I filled the supplies (note paper, pens, tape, etc.) and I’m sure I can purge some paperwork
  • Thursday: my son’s puzzles. For some reason, every single puzzle piece has ended up in a box. I’m going to put everything back together, and possibly purge some things.
  • Friday: my laundry area. Good bye empty boxes/bottles, mis-matched socks and stray buttons.
  • Saturday: my sewing box. Well I have to do something with the stray buttons! Plus it’s just a mess. The last time I needed to mend something I got stabbed with several needles!

To help you conquer your chaos, declutter your domain, and straighten your stuff, here is a list of my fave organizing sites.

  • Aurelia at Real Life Solutions has some super information
  • Sarah at Solutions for Busy Moms is a certified home management coach – she knows her stuff!
  • I think Laura at OrgJunkie and I were separated at birth – it amazed me how much we think alike!
  • Tsh of SimpleMom is just that – simple. But in a good way!
  • Maria from GetOrganizedNow is one of the original organizing queens!
  • Jen from ListPlanIt is a life saver – I don’t know where I’d be without my lists!
  • And no organizing list would be complete without FlyLady – she helped me when I needed her and lead me on the path to organization and peace.
